Message My friend is looking at the new F-150 lightning ... very fast truck. Anyway, I got to looking, and that engine has all the technology of a Model-T!

Cast Iron Block
Single Cam
One intake valve/exhaust valve per cylinder
etc

The only thing the engine has going for it is it's size. Sheesh ... anyone can make an engine bigger - it takes real talent to make a small engine faster. The Z engine is still more technologically advanced than 90% of the engines out there ... I have no problem bashing the domestic V8's ... their engines are the neanderthals of the motor world. They can talk trash, but most of those guys don't know jack about engines ... just that their's is "fast" ... sure, if I jambed an 18 liter engine into a car the length of a bus (Camaro), I would be fast too. The Z (and other highly tunable import cars) give power with style and intelligence. Just my opinion of course.
